Sounds like they'll have a good time. I'm hoping they'll get shown things like where they get the school buses from at the end of the day. That's one of my son's biggest worries and as it's not a public bus it's not something I can do with him in advance.

DS thinks they will get some sixth formers to escort them to the bus stops. He was allocated a couple of year 7 at the beginning of term last Sept, to ensure they got on the correct bus.

There are extra staff and pupils on duty to sort out getting year 7s on to contact buses so please don't worry.
The main thing is to tell him to ask a member of staff or 6th former if he is unsure, not stand silently worrying.
The school has been through it many times and they have it pretty well organised.
Makes me smile every year seeing the new year 7s being escorted back from games field the first few weeks.
