cem score 104.53 i/c
csse - not done

Hoping for cchs - very very borderline - not sure we will have a great chance - shame you just never know how many ooc scores are in the top band ? And annoyingly for us top band this year started at above my dd score - there do not seem to be many cem scores posted this year

CCHS, ColCHS and Westcliff are all very good schools.

For me, which school was logistically easiest to get to over the next 5-7 years was the major factor in our decision making. It is not just on a day to day basis, but picking up after drama rehearsals, going to parents' evenings, concerts, sporting fixtures, getting home on snow days or going in for 1pm GCSE exams in Year 11.

Last year's results letter said
300 scored 138-104.1
300 scored 104-91.1
200 scored 91-66

My DD scored 103.7 (so just outside the top 300) and was offered a place in May. On the interview day in late June her name was the last on the list that the teacher we spoke to had in front of him.

CEM 120 i/c
CSSE 157.191

Super proud and happy with DD's score!
Putting CCHS first, CHSG second.
Daughter really liked the feel of CHSG, but travel/logistics swayed our decision.

Congratulations on both scores :D . I assume you meant 357 for CSSE and either WHSG or SHSG?

Mum1981 - Thanks - Glimmer of hope for us then ! but could be quite different this year as no-one ever knows how many above are in or out of catchment or wont take the places - but if you don't mind , can you tell me how long you waited to call Essex to find out where you were on the waiting list and what no. you started out at ? and also what do you mean about 'interview day' - is this something just late offered girls have or everyone ? not heard about it before
thanks
