Morning everyone,

I got my daughters CEM results this morning, wasn't expecting them until Tuesday so was quite surprised.

After sitting the exam she said it was very difficult so I wasn't expecting a good result, however 102.3 was a lovely morning wake up! We're in catchment.

Anyone else get their results today?

Yes, big surprise! My daughter got 112.15, we are in catchment, so from letter looks like she has a good chance of gaining a place. She's pleased with her result and so am I! :D

Hi - indeed early post of the CCHS results, did not expect it so early. My DD got 103.57, she did say she had left out some questions. The letter says in last 3 years only some scoring between 106.94 and 93.92 got a place.

We are in catchment, but still looks doubtful :(

Do people with previous experience in recent years know what chances might my DD have to getting CCHS?

92.8 scored. Outside of chelmsford catchment. If the results are shared, that means woodford county has the same result too. Not a good morning...strongest area for D was non verbal, which did not come as much as i had hoped. Havent broken the news to her...

Not necessarily the same standardised score for Woodford - for a start, only those living in the common catchment area for the Redbridge grammar schools stand an earthly of getting a place there, whereas at CCHS, there is at least the hope of one of the 30 open places. So the competition may be stiffer for CCHS and the same raw score may be below the mean there, but at least higher (even if not necessarily above the mean, unfortunately) when standardised with another cohort.

I am still in shock with 105.66 score for DD. English and non-verbal have always been her natural ability. Reading all the time etc...I just can't believe the score and is heart-broken. Not because I was desperate for Chelmsford, but to see how can she get so low score. Teachers in school also raised my hope too high. I really hope CSSE does not bring more shock. I am out of catchment for Chelmsford.

Congratulations to all children who received what they deserved. The exam was tough as I hear.
