Hi,
The CSSE gave me the standard deviation for this year and the mean so you can check your scores against it.
Maths mean = 32.4762
SD 11.2116
Eng mean 40.2774
SD =8.6908
So to work out your final score you do the following calculations
(Raw score - mean) divide by SD
X 15
+100
For each maths and Eng
Then add together
And x the combined no. By 1.5
This a candidate with the average score will be calculated at 300.
More boys take the test than girls which is why the numbers are higher for them.
Voila!

It does not say on the document that scores were standardised according to months of birth. As far as I am aware, CSSE does not standardise according to age.
