Southend High, boys vs. Westcliff High, boys

Good evening all,

The wait is almost over for the Essex test results and I would love to read any comments about those two schools from those who are hoping to send their children there to those whose children are already happy (or unhappy, hopefully very, very few) pupils....

My son has a favourite and we do not - he has also achieved a very, very high score in Kent (he prefers Southend schools to Dartford Grammar), so any comments would be very much appreciated.

DS1 and 2 are at WHSB and they are very happy there and doing very well. We love the school. They do expect the boys to work hard, including quite a lot of homework.

I would go with what you felt for the schools when you visited them as they all have a different feel.

Also, I don't know where you live, but if one is nearer, then definitely go with that as shorter journey is obviously logistically much easier!
