My DD achieved a very good score in the CEM test for CCHSG but isn't sure she wants to go there. If she were to turn the place down and then change her mind later in year 7/8 what are the chances of getting a place? Are there many children that leave after starting?

Hi.
It's not common. My DD1 has just left there for Uni - I think 1 or 2 places came up in her year over the years 7-11. I don't think there were any until year 9. I expect most years do not see any leavers - only tends to be due to relocation reasons. If anyone else has a different experience then please share, but I would not use this as a strategy for taking up a place later if she changes her mind.

Thanks I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure if some girls didn't settle, cope with the work etc etc and then move. I guess that's positive for the school that the majority of girls stay for the duration.
