just got confirmation from my friend that his DD offered a seat in CCHS, so 107.33 1st on w/l i/c has offered a place.

Hello, can anyone help me understand what's going on with CCHS i/c waiting list. My DD scored 106.80 and started at 8th position (i/c) on March 15th and moved to 5th position by March 29th. She is still 5th. However messages above show that the person who started at 4th position (i/c) on March 15th was offered a place on April 23rd. So my DD should be 4th position now. Sad as this is, I do a quick check every day so I would have noticed if someone had moved onto the i/c list and bumped us up one (apart from the very rare scenario that someone moves onto the i/c list on the same day that some accepts a place). I don't know what to think...

We're wondering the same thing. It seems odd that someone would move to the top of the waiting list on the same day a place is accepted. My DD is a few places behind yours on the waiting list, so cannot help with the situation in the first 4 places, I'm afraid.

Just an update on my last comment. After a while (6 weeks or so) I contacted the school and the council. Long and short of it was that the council waiting list hadn't been updated and all of a sudden we went up 2 places. Now 3rd (i/c). It wasn't clear what the process breakdown was between the school and the council team, but it certainly helped having this forum to spot issues.
