Hi all, we moved into Southend just before Xmas, due to this we have been told that our offer will be a paper one. Eight days on from the snow we still haven't received an offer. Have spoken to Southend admissions who confirmed DD has been offered WHSG as first offer and to send them an email to confirm acceptance. No reply to that and am now worried as should we have been given the wrong info verbally WHSG appeals process shuts on Monday.

Anyone in the same boat?

We only got the papers from SHSB today. There is no need to panic if you had the place confirmed electronically previously.

You should still be okay if you submit your appeal (should you need to) a day or so late, but equally, you could submit the 'bare bones' of an appeal on Monday and withdraw it immediately when your place is confirmed.

Have you asked WHSG whether they think your DD has a place there?

Hi K100.
Just want to check - you mention your DD and a place at WHSG, but then you talk about your son, who obviously wouldn’t be going to WHSG! Have you got a boy or girl? If you ring the relevant school directly, they should be able to tell you if your child is on their list.
