I have heard rumours about which one was harder, which is worrying as it’s my son’s strength! I’m assuming the second day test is a different paper but similar standard?

Does anyone know how many people will sit the csse 11+? I’d heard over 2000 boys were at SHSB yesterday-I wonder how many in total, across all the schools and all of the sittings??

Shoeburyness high roughly about 200 ish or slightly more

Last year the second sitting papers seemed to be much harder than the first with only 30% getting 303 and above per foi below.

Thats interesting and worrying! Surely some of it would be to do with the cohort that sat it on each day? Seems unfair that the second papers would be harder when some aren’t given the option of day (eg. Overspill)

Rather more like a quarter of that, according to my source, which would be a bit up on last year's main date sitting.

I'm not sure where they would actually have put '2000+' boys?

Do you know roughly how many people take the CSSE test-across all schools?

For many years it was somewhere between 3600 and 4000, l think. The numbers for last year can be totalled from the FOI response linked to in an earlier post.

So, 5382 last year, across all CSSE centres.

That is nearly 11,000 writing tasks to mark and moderate.

I don't envy the poor souls that get that job.
