Waiting list score or irrelevant due to standardisation

My son scored 333.9. In previous years this MAY have been enough to secure a place at CRGS via waiting list. Am I clutching at straws now considering the 2018 standardisation?

Many thanks for any advice, he's back from his residential today and I initially thought I could tell him there would be a possibility via waiting list but after reading the forums I'm not so sure.

Thanks

Ok I've followed the formula given here and his score would have been 333.002.

So I guess he still might have a long shot at CRGS or o/c WHSB.

Hello hedgehogmum
Would you be able to work out my sons score?
Tried to work out using it the formula but Maths not my strong point :|

E 48
M 47
July born
SS 376.82

We are out of catchment for all schools, my son really like Kegs but I’m not feeling very optimistic :?

Think there's some confusion here.
The score sent to you is surely already age standardised ?
Am I missing something?

I haven't read it all in depth but looks like something might have changed : https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum ... 15&t=55981" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Trying to work out what it would have been without standardisation.

Without age adjustment it’s just the ‘old’ calculation-

((((Raw score - mean)/SD) x 15)+100) x 1.5

Do the calculation for English and Maths then add them together.
