Yes indeed! As a maths postgraduate, I scored 54/60 and couldn’t finish the paper in an hour  Some boys started crying who sat with my DS, I can now imagine what they must have gone through. Truly awful for 10 year olds to see a paper like that. English was harder than 2018 entry, but similar to previous English papers in difficulty.

Bravo to all boys who took the test irrespective of the scores they achieved. DP’s must be really proud of their boys.

Yes last year’s maths papers is quite difficult.

To score 40 out of 60 is fine but to rest 20 marks are quite very tricky. For 10 years old kids ......ufffff....

Well done for who has done it. Hope this years one won’t be like that.

Sat the maths paper myself and had my GS mark it for me; something he loved doing.

I got 51/60 and finished in a little under 45 min. BUT, I failed to follow to my own advice, " If you finish early, check your work and fill in any gaps ". I had no gaps, but I did have three STUPID arithmetic errors, and I'd mis-read one question and given only half the answer!!!

It was hard by any standard. I have tutored GCSE Maths and I'm pretty convinced that half the 2019-intake 11+ questions would not have been out of place in a GCSE standard maths paper.
