Hi, KEGS seems to have had an exceptional set of results this year. Think this is the first gcse result after catchment was introduced (think i am right, please correct me if this is wrong info). If so, then all the hullabulloo about the dire effects of catchment seems ti have fallen flat

Last year was the first cohort of GCSE results with the catchment area. It was introduced for the 2013 entry 11 plus. The results last year were outstanding too.

My point being, when catchment was introduced for KEGS and CCHS the general argument by non catchment pepole were that the standards would slip if it is no longer super selective.

The results have proved otherwise.

Catchment was introduced for 2013 entry, so this was the second set of post-intriduction results.

And just to remind everyone of the hysteria it produced in the population of parts of Metropolitan Essex...

Ah yes London parents complaining they can't freely access essex schools anymore and trying to find out how to scam the system

Interestingly house rentals in Chelmsford are a good £400pcm more than the rest of mid and North essex. I'm guessing due to metropolitan Essex parents
