Chelmsford Girls CEM tiers

Can anyone tell me how they have 360 girls in the top tier for the CEM results with only a set number of places? It says in the last 3 years that every girl within catchment has been given a place.....
Just wondering whether to feel relaxed or still need to worry....
My daughter is in the top tier.

My daughter is in the top tier.
Many of the girls in the top band will be out of catchment, or may apply to other schools as their first priority.

if you look on the website for cchs you will see a freedom of information publication. you will see from the document that many of the high scoring children are out of catchment, and can understand how out of 300 girls it is quite feasible to get in if you are in the top band and an in catchment child.
