Hi,

We have just filled online CAF form for our local county council and have given Col. CHSG as 1st pref (Score : 373), in the whole form they did not ask about CSSE score or candidate number, so my question is how will Col. CHSG know that we have applied for their school in our local county and how will her score be informed?

Are we missing some form here? Please help

Your county council will pass onto the school a list of all students who have listed the school as one of their preferences.

They then have all the data to check the score of every applicant.

They will send back to the council a list of all applicants they are able to make offers to.

The council will not allocate you more than one offer so they only give applicants the offer that is ranked highest on their CAF form.

You do not need to do anything more than list the schools in your order of preference on your CAF form. DG

If your DD is Looked After, Previously Looked After, or her primary school is entitled to Pupil Premium for her, you need to fill in the additional SIF for CCHSG via the CSSE site, but nothing otherwise.

thanks all for your responses, i have submitted the form accordingly, putting the school first which we prefer.

We’ve submitted our daughter’s CAF with the top 3 schools being CCHS, WHSG and SHSG.

If I understand correctly, Essex Council will match our daughter’s name based on the CAF to their database of CEM and CSSE results? Besides the school names, we don’t need to provide any further information?
