We confirm that the number of girls who achieved a standardised score of
345 or greater in the 2020 Entry CSSE 11+ Examination was: 430

From the below document , I can see around 460 girls are above 340 score last year.

But if it's How many IC places will be left over at WHSG and SHSG for OOC girls? you are interested in, remember that 'attending a primary school within the Borough of Southend on Sea' ceased to be the criterion for 'being in catchment' seven years ago. The definition for 2020 entry is 'living within postcodes SS0 - SS9 inclusive, as at 31st October 2019'.

Many children who live in the SS0-9 postcodes go to primary schools outside the Southend area, are home schooled or attend private schools (such as Thorpe Hall). None of those children are accounted for in the list provided. I know at least two children who fall into those categories and who scored 303+.

I agree. Now the document has been updated to consider Independant schools .. now in total 236 girls achieved more than 303 from Southend Borough schools (SS0-SS9 including independant schools).
