Potential Travelling options Shenfield to Southend Girls

Post by Addad »

We would be grateful if someone can advise us about the potential travel/transport options for travelling from Shenfield to Southend High School for Girls.

Are there any CSSE or Private Coaches from Shenfield to Southend High School for Girls ?

Is Train travel from Shenfield to any Southend station and then local bus to school a viable option or not?

Kind regards

I'm sure it won't have changed much since DD left - lots of girls travelling to Southend Victoria then get the bus - either from the interchange directly outside the station or from a nearby stop cutting out (for the no.1, which stops opposite the school) the trip down to the Travel Centre and nearly all the way back before turning off into Southchurch Road. There are other routes which stop near the school - the First no.26 stops at the bottom of Hamstel Road (sto named 'White Horse or - if they've eventually got round to noticing that the pub across the road was renamed years ago, the 'Old Walnut Tree' - which is only a few minutes walk from the school. The 26 is less frequent than the 1, though, and takes a more 'scenic' route.
