BODMAS
Can someone tell me if BODMAS has been used in the Gloucestershire test in the past? DS learnt this at school last year and then tried (without success) to apply it on a VR paper. Since then he hasn't used it when faced with those 'sum sentence' questions, but I was wondering if it may turn up. Thanks.
Re: BODMAS
Despite thinking I'm pretty good at maths, I had to look up what BODMAS meant!
I don't think they expect children to use this rule in the VR tests: they just seem to work from left to right regardless. As it's multiple choice, you'd soon realise if you'd gone wrong by doing the operations in the wrong order.
