Pates does all verbal reasoning-2 papers each of 85 questions. It is also all multiple choice.
Grammar system changing slightly from this year-test taken in November as usual, but results will be given to parents before the deadline for the choices form,so much beter! If you look on www.gloucestershire.gov.uk at the schools admissions criterias Pates has already updated theirs for Sept 2008.

Any idea how long the tests are?
I know there are two VR papers, but what length are they?
We have been practising 80 questions in 40 minutes and today we finally cracked it.
All answered in 40 mins.
Any time over this would definitely be a bonus.

Last year: Paper 1 - 85 questions - 45 mins, Paper 2 - 85 questions - 50 mins.
Previous year - both papers - 50 mins.
No warning of the change in time allowed was given by either the LEA or schools prior to the test.
