All over for now until DS in 2 years.

But can anyone tell me how those maths questions in the VR paper count as Verbal reasoning?

(glad they are there to add to what is tested but)

Hadn't really thought of that one so googled and came up with this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verbal_arithmetic" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The older papers only used 15 types and interestingly these were the maths type they used. I should imagine the maths on the newer 21 type VR papers has been added to address some of the justifiable criticism about the bias of the previous tests. Still horribly biased towards testing verbal intellect so justified in keeping the name I suppose .

Personally I don't think it's much of a test of verbal skills either - more like how much obscure vocabulary you have managed to cram to solve some meaningless puzzles. The Maths isn't really maths either - just more patterns and puzzles. My suggestion is to rename it Combined Reasoning And Puzzles. Could be easily shortened to an acronym.
