Please Help!! shs appeal

We are going to our DD appeal for shs early next week, just wondered if someone could let me know their thoughts on our chances.

She got straight level 3 in ks1 sats, predicted level 5a for all ks2 sats but was ill when taking cats tests scores 116 117 118, we know this is above average but not great, her school feels she should have done better.
They also say she has grown in y5,6 and gone up many more levels than expected after not moving much in y4, having a less than satisfactory teacher (quoted by ofsted) Should we bring up the cats scores and explain she was ill or just hope they don't put too much weight on them?

We have very good mitigating circumstances

I would definitely mention she was ill and if you have any evidence of that (a letter from school if doctor will not) so much the better.
External evidence of high ability is important on a non-qualification appeal to back up the mitigating circs and the more you have the better.

Unless the CATS are quoted by school why mention them at all?

Unless the CATS are quoted by school why mention them at all?

Some primary schools will have submitted that info to the appeal, and the parents will then have been sent a copy of it.
