Just saw this on the Glos County Council website confirming dates for test in November and confirming that test results will be sent to parents 2 weeks later-

6. Will my child hear the results of the grammar test this year before we have to make a preference?

Parents will be sent a letter on the 23rd November informing them of the outcome.

9. When will the grammar test be?
The test date is 10th November 2007.

I knew this info was going to be announced at some point soon but had got rather fed up waiting/looking for it. You've saved me a job and I am now able to tell the parents of all my pupils the news they've been eagerly awaiting.

I am so glad that this procedure is happening for Sept 2008,and the fact that first preference first is no longer applicable(in case of 11 plus failure!)
