DS came out quite happy - said he finished both papers- he guessed a few on the first paper which he also said was harder. Tommies was very well organised I thought. Parking a few streets away and walking in helped.

Someone said over 500 at Pates this am. DD came out saying that first paper really hard and she guessed the three at the end (what WERE they?) but that the second paper was much easier. She thought that there weren't too many "hard" words, but who knows. She's happy and so are we...whatever the result. She's worked very hard for this.

DD sat at SHS. Had to guess a few on paper 1, finished paper 2 ok. Everyone was very nice and friendly according to her. Apparently many girls didnt finish paper 1 or had to guess a few.

Same here dd sat at SHS didn't have time to finish first paper so guessed about 6 of them. Finished 2nd one. Standard seemed similar, just much less time for first one - not sure why the 85 question paper was given 45 mins and the 80 question one 50 mins? Anyone know how many sat at SHS today or how busy it was compared to previous years?

No real added insight; first paper v hard and second easier. Few people cried, but nothing major. I NEED DETAILS!!!

DD sat hers at HSFG, found the first paper hard, had 6 questions left ran out of time, 2nd paper was easier and finished it, they used same method as last year, 85 questions - 45 mins and 80 questions - 50 mins, she went in smiling and came out smiling, what ever the outcome is were proud of her. good luck to all for the results. :)

Hi guys, just a note of caution, there are still children who will sit the test as late testers through illness etc. I wouldn't be too specific.

Wouldn't it be nice if PKN could give the stats as to how many took the test, shared etc..

DD sat at SHS this morning. Also didn't finish Paper 1, which really threw her - she has never not finished a timed paper before. Had about 15 questions left when they said '5 mins'. So reassuring to know that lots of others didn't finish either. Gives me the faintest whisper of hope :)

First paper much harder and seemed to have more verbal type questions rather than mathematical. Seemed to be tricky vocab and she only just managed to finish. Wonder how many were gusses :?
2nd paper seemed more straight-forward she described it as "typical GL"

Agree also with fact some are to sit at pates on Weds - if they were ill etc. so best not be too specific :D
