In which region?? The date will be different in different regions and where schools set separate exams, will differ between schools.

Well its been a Saturday at the beginning of October for the last couple of years, so it could be the 5th or the 12th Oct. It was on the 6th last year so I reckon it's most likely 5th but I checked SHS website and Glos. County Council website and couldn't find any confirmation of the date. I've got a feeling these things don't get finalised for next year until after allocations (March).

Thinking about the actual date makes it too real... DD2 will be sitting it at SHS this time...need to get on and think about doing some practise with her in the New Year.

the past 3 years it has been the first saturday in October.. i shall be thinking of you all.. i have four years off now!

Stroudydad, I don't believe it ; I also have four years off. I have a ds in year 2. In Warwickshire!

Thanks guys for the replies. Early October should be do-able! Seems like a long way off but better start getting ready.

There have been many discussions on here about how much preparation 'should' be done so I will not comment on how much you should do, but what I can say from experience is' it will be October before you know it'.
