Someone on this forum suggested sending yourself a letter guaranteed next day delivery on the Fri, so hopefully the postman will bring ALL the post with it on the Sat. We never usually get any post on Sat so I am def going to try it. I can't wait till Monday to find out

That's a great idea Seems the girls schools are more likely to send letters so I will be trying this and hope it works - I can't wait until the Monday to find out either!

You have to specify guaranteed next day on a Saturday delivery (which costs more) as opposed to normal next day/special delivery if you are going to do this.

Things usually arrive on the Saturday by the standard next day (so not really worth paying for normally) but if your house is a pain to get to the postman will probably only bring anything that is guaranteed for Saturday delivery.

spoke this morning with each schools about results:

PATES - emails 3.30 pm on Friday
Denmark - letters will be sent out on Friday (possibility arriving on sat)
Ribston - letters or emails if you tick the box on applications form on Friday afternoon
Stroud High school - letters send out Fridays evenings 1st class - so Saturday arriving time

I actually feel more nervous now

I think I have been thinking - next week, maybe friday, just so I didn't spend the weekend on tenterhooks.

Now I only have just over 48 hours.
