We will miss him....I wonder who will come in his place?

Will Nick Dyer step up? Or will they look for a new person from outside......

Must be the season for new Heads - Churchdown Academy, Newent Community, Severn Vale, Field Court Junior, Longlevens Junior etc - not that long since STR and Pates appointed new Heads as well. Mr Standen has certainly turned Crypt around - big shoes to fill

I heard someone say that nowadays, heads stay on average for 5 to 6 years, then look to move. People are always looking for new challenges.

Thankfully that wasn't the case for dc's last school. The new head systematically trashed everything good about the school then left after about 2 years (we had already left by then), and moved on. My friend, who was a teacher there (and nearly left as she couldn't stand it) subsequently found out he had been nicknamed 'the 2 year head' as he always moves on after 2 years - god knows where he is now. Grrr.
