So...how did it go ?

Drop off was fine. We were the first candidates there. Great to find the door with our surname letter and sit to go over some vocab. A lady arrived who had come from London. Poor child had a test yesterday, one today and one tomorrow. She did not look well on it. Very pale and sad looking. My DD would point blank refuse ! Once is quite enough !

Dd was pleased to go in with 2 of her school friends who had same alphabetical surname. It was like sending her in with a comfort blanket. So glad she is sitting at the same school as her friends.........well that's it until pick up. Hope all went well for you & your DDs and DSs :D

Went surprisingly smoothly. Ds absolutely not fussed, so I kept out of the way as I didn't want to pass tension on! We met up with two of his best friends and they went in laughing which was a relief. Just trying to keep busy now. Hope everyone else OK.

Good luck everyone, we've just done Bucks and it's nerve-racking when they are in the exam, but you feel soooo much better when they come out. Xx

DS happy. Left out 6 in total due to time. Felt mock he did was harder.

Waaahhhhooooooo :D

All over !!!(for a few years at least!)

DS was surprisingly upbeat about it...no melt downs, and he hasn't been put off exams forever. He said everyone at Marling made him feel welcome and everything was very well organised.

Apparently he loved the fact they were allowed out to play between the tests and he had a great game of tag

Dd came out happy, she missed a few but not too many. She said it was good being in a room with all of the other children from her school.

She did say that someone put the answers of the first paper on the question paper and not in the the answer booklet. I am so pleased we practised using an answer booklet as well as a question booklet.

Roll on results day, cross fingers.

DS came out happy too. Big smiles though think that's the relief its all over. Answered all q's but in one section had to do random guesses for a last 3 or 4 as ran out of time. Found easier than mock, he says it was not what he expected at all though  No 2 test hard than no 1. ALL of us relieved it is over. Had the fizzy drink, playing XBOX. Pizza for supper in front of Tumbled final and XFactor. May even light a fire! Roll on October. Hope all your DC's are having a super afternoon playing and enjoying being 10 and 11 year old kids :D

Just read the above - poor girl/boy regarding putting answers on q sheet. Really feel for them. What a shame :( Glad your DD was positive about it all.
