My DD is in Year 9 and I think it is 18:12 boys to girls in her form. My DS is in Year 7 and I know that this is very boy heavy, but don't know exact numbers I'm afraid. My understanding is that the weighting for the 11+ in Sept 2017 will be to try and amend this balance (more weighting on Verbal rather than Maths) - but only hearsay, I don't have concrete facts!

Going to be interesting in Sept to see if the boy/girl balance is more even as this was the intention behind the test this year - to pass well in all 3 strands, rather than 'first past the post' sort of thing. It's been a boy heavy school to date - will it level out? Time will tell!
