Timing

The age old issue of timing! DS does well on the questions he attempts but not doing enough of them. He is slowly improving but I am looking for a bit of advice on exam strategy (we are home tutoring). Firstly, what strategy have you found best for completing the answer booklet? Eg. Write in each answer as u go though it, complete a side of answers then transfer to answer booklet etc.
Do they get eg a 1 minute warning before each section ends?
Any other tips for improving speed?
Thanks in advance x

Your son should not waste time writing down answers before transferring them to the multiple choice answer sheet. Every second is valuable.

*Mark the answers with a line in the middle of the correct box on the answer sheet.

*If he needs to erase an answer, make sure that it is completely erased so that there is no confusion during the electronic marking.

*If he leaves out an answer make sure that he then places the answer to the next answer in the correct box.

They will get a 1 minute warning and also a 5 minute warning as well as a 1 minute warning on longer sections of the paper.

Most important advice:

Listen to, and read, all instructions VERY carefully. Quite simply, if you do that, you can't go wrong....
