Travel from GL1 to STR

Post by nav_dah »

Hi,
We are moving near St Barnabas Church (Stroud Road, GL1) and are exploring options for DS to get to school. Would be grateful for any pointers. Have tried the usual school bus operators and none of them service that route. Public transport requires one change and takes 45-50 mins!
At the moment it looks like he will be on his bike but considered about road safety etc...
Would be good to know of any other children who travel this route.

Thanks.

Hi I suspect the public bus route is the way to go...my DC used to travel from Hucclecote to Ribston and Crypt so very similar timings.

Bennett’s runs a service to STRS that stops outside St Barnabas on the Finlay Road side of the roundabout - it’s technically the bus to Pate’s but drops pupils at Denmark Rd and STRS as well.

Edited to add: its quite an early pickup though - about 0722 for the stop outside the church.
