Each school (I believe) has 150 places available. Therefore, if you have an email from any school stating you are in the top 150, it guarantees you have a place at that school.

We've heard from STR, Crypt, Pates and Marling and we got top 150 for all. Such a relief. Was expecting a day of refreshing emails....

I think this means DD is likely to get a place at Ribston should we choose it over one of the local non selective schools, but can't help thinking we've got a nervous wait until March now?

Hi, just asking for some advice really.

My daughter got ranked in RH - 373, Denmark Road - 372 and The Crypt - 780

What we would like to know is, if we just pick one of the Grammar Schools as first choice and then a local Stage school. What happens if she is unlucky in getting the first choice school ? and what happens then, will we miss out on a state school as she would have chosen is a second choice.
