Dear All

In Bucks we can mark the paper for the 11 plus but NOT for the 12 plus. It really does throw the children if they cannot use the question booklet to make notes.

If your child really must only use rough paper and you have been allowing them to use the question booklet, I would [without stressing them] just run through a few rules for using rough paper only.

1] Codes, quickly write out the alphabet [speed writing comes into play here]

2] Square off a corner of the rough paper. Use this box to add question numbers of all guessed questions.

3] Keep all workings for each type of question in a different lined off area.

It has been known for invigilators to 'tell children off' for writing on the booklet, the last thing you want is for your child to be even more stressed for not following the instructions given by those in charge of the testing process.

Good Luck for tomorrow.
