"Technical" Admissions Question

My DD is in the top 120 for Pates. As a family we are temporarily moving out of the country for six/seven months between December and the summer. This means that we will only have her grandmother's address (in Glos) as a contact address in the UK during the allocation process. Does anyone know if this will affect her admission to Pates? I know people can apply from out of county/country and there is theoretically no catchment but I don't want to jeopardise all her hard work.

Any advice would be gratefully received before I contact the council and potentially put my foot in it.

I would speak to Pate's first before anyone else. They will probably advise what to do. I wouldn't imagine it would matter to them as there is no official catchment area and you will be back living in Gloucestershire (I presume) when she starts.
