Parmiter's headmaster retiring!

Post by stressed but survivor 2 »

I have just read that Parmiter's longstanding headmaster will be retiring in the summer 2010 - what changes there might be!

Yes, received our letter today, It wont be the same without him, still, I expect he is exhausted and looking forward to the rest. What changes lie afoot, as you say!

I'm sad that Mr C is retiring too. I often saw him at sports fixtures - and not just the important ones either!

Still, I'm pretty confident that those responsible will choose a good replacement - possibly someone from in-house? Lots of options there. I certainly don't expect it to have a negative effect on the school.

Is there any news on who is taking over?

The job is advertised in the Times Education Supplement (www.tes.co.uk) and the closing date for applications is 8th February so I think it will be a while before anyone is chosen.

Coincidently, I see that St Michael's Catholic High School (across the road from Parmiters) is also looking for a new Headteacher.
