Thankfully my dd got her second choice on her acedemic ability. Just got letter from Parmiters that has placed her in joint 3rd position on the waiting list. I would be grateful if there are any members who have experienced the waiting list and who can share their experience with me.
I would like to know what you think her chances are of getting into Parmiters.

I believe schools have a separate waiting list for each admission rule, so Parmiters will have a waiting list for music, academic and distance.

You don't say which waiting list your child is on.

It may also be that the children on the music and academic tests have the same scores and may be further ranked by distance from school.

It is too early to comment on waiting list movement but a phone call to Parmiters admissions to ask about your chances might give you a better idea.

I know someone who was 4th on the academic waiting list and got a place during the reshuffle at the end of March. Fingers crossed for you.

Does anyone know how many get in off the academic waiting list last year ?

Spoke to admissions and she said that DD had a good chance of getting in. In previous years they have taken 5th ranked children. Just keeping fingers crossed!! In the meantime we are accepting her place at her 2nd choice.

We're 10th so it's a very slim chance, but when should the list start to move ?

The admission secretary said that there is movement at the end of March then after that it could be anytime.
