Does anyone know of any credible research linking school uniform to behaviour, attainment ... being a better educational environment?

interesting thoughts... we need a hunt of some reputable journals! Tricky to do a double blind randomised cluster trial methinks!!

I do remember John Harvey Jones visiting some "failing" schools and instituting various things like uniform and more focussed assemblies. Not sure whether it was his undivided attention or the uniform that really made a difference to the school

There are arguments for both sides and no firm conclusions.

It is the sort of question used in schools for debates or persuasive writing.
