HCC home to school transport - cost cutting

Item 7 on the above page contains a document which details HCC's discussions about changes to the provision of home to school transport in Hertfordshire.
While it will be a few years before this is implemented, the changes they are looking at may affect all of us that have children using public transport to get to school and beyond.
The document talks about changes to free home to school transport rules, increase in price of SaverCard (half price bus fare for 11-15 year olds) and possible removal of some 800 services from HCC provision to private bus contractors. Although looking at appendix 2 in the same folder above there aren't many 800 services that would be tendered out to private contractors.
