How much is reasonable?

Post by KS10 »

Getting any sort of information about tutors for QEB seems nigh on impossible!
How much would you expect to pay for 1-1 or for a group session (say 6-8 in the group)? Please send me a pm if you can shed any light.

Thanks

PS: I am not interested in becoming a tutor; I am asking on behalf of someone who needs a tutor.

I don't know about QEB tutors specifically, but in my search for a tutor in N. London the going rate seems to be £30-35 per hour for 1 to 1, and about £25 for small group sessions.

Thank you LD. I looked at the tutors on this site and the prices were varied. I have to say I am shocked that the cost could be around £25 per person even in group sessions ... I guess I am really ignorant. Better pass on the bad news.

Tell me about it, bankruptsy is looming on the horizon for me! London always seems to be more expensive than anywhere else though :(

Still, a year of tutoring is cheaper than 7 years of Independent school. That's what I keep telling myself anyway!
