My BIL has told me that the WGGS sibling intake was very large this year which affected the number of selective places. Is this true? Does anyone know?

It won't affect the number of selective places but it will reduce number of distance places. I have a friend who lives quite close who did not get a distance place so sounds likely that there were a large number of siblings this year.
