Cut off scores for Queens

Post by HenryVIII »

are here http://www.queens.herts.sch.uk/about-ou ... admissions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

226 for academic
(faint)

I am baffled by the upsurge in the cut-off scores already discussed and speculated about.

My personal pet theory is that this is the fruit of 6 weeks hard labour over the school holidays, thoughts???

Just cant understand it ?????

If it was the 6 week holiday, we may have seen an increase last year.
...... Could be that the people moving here from the London boroughs are highly focus on school
places and are tutoring from a much younger age.

Well first year was 'proof of concept' year when the system changed. Anyone can sit the consortium test (I think?) so high scoring children and families can now see if it is worth their while to move. Absolutely no evidence of this obviously, but can see very bright children who have lost out, especially those whose parents grew up in the area and also attended some of the selective schools - in the days before all the testing shenanigans.
