MAT - what is the closest instrument in tone?
I understand it is on CD and *not* a piano. Which sucks because DD is so much better at hearing chords on the piano . Can anyone advise what kind of tone it is (synth/organ/mixed) - and what practice materials you found useful?
I've seen a couple of mock tests online - but they seem quite pricey - given that all we really want is an opportunity to practice hearing non-piano textures.

It is a synth sound and the chords are the main problem and where most lose the marks. Only one third of applicants pass. Which one are you sitting DAO or Watford Consortium? DG

Practice with chords on all the instruments you can. Guitar, Organ etc. We booked a slot with the church organist and that was really helpful. The ones who get in are the ones who can manage the chord section. DG
