Hi,

Would anyone know what the cut off for Bushey Mead was last year? Will 228 be a decent score
to get in? I read on the Herts council that BM is creating additional 30 places to it current PAN of 170.
Anyone travelling to BM from Harrow? Any advice on the school ethos and results would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did u not go to open day?
See other linked threads.
And web site for scores.
Spaces devided i. Four so comorehensive.
Then sibling and distance rules within each quartile.
Think 228 puts you in top quartile.
See web site for furthest distance last year, no idea if similar this.

Hi

I have all the information on hand as you have mentioned but wanted to know what was the lowest score that was given a confirmed seat in category A. Last year the category score was between 281-223 but not sure for eg. if someone with a 228 got in or all 39 seats got filled by the time score got to 230. I hope my understanding is correct?? Thanks.

Looking at the admission rules, the actual score is disregarded once it has been used for allocation to a band. If there are only as many applicants in that band as there are places, then all would get in, but if a band is oversubscribed (as I assume they always are?), then the oversubscription criteria come into play, starting with Looked-after children, etc.

Forgive me if I have misunderstood this, but it is how it appears to me, looking at the school's website.

Yes - within a band, the discriminator is distance.
