SW Herts applications open this am until Friday 17th June

Post by Daogroupie »

Parents need to register for all the tests they wish to take at the consortium website.

Once they have registered they will receive a confirmation email from the website but this is the ONLY piece of email that will be sent.

Allocation of test location, results of first round music tests and results of all other tests including the academic tests will only be available through the parent portal.

No email or letters will be sent.

Academic and music final results will be available on Monday 17th October.

Despite stating on the website that all papers used will be prepared specifically for the consortium, the CEM paper will be the same one used by DAO on Saturday 3rd September.

Those who want to sit both exams will need to NOT sit the DAO CEM on Saturday 3rd September and sit SW Herts on Saturday 10th September. The CEM results will then be sent to DAO.

Those wishing to sit the CEM super saturday paper at other schools will need to apply to be allocated the backup date of that school or the consortium.

Those sitting Latymer, DAO and SW Herts will need a backup date for the SW Herts paper. DG

Registration is now open and bookings are going through. I don't know for sure that allocations of time slots ( and test locations) are done on first come first served basis but I know they are at DAO, HBS, QE and Mill Hill County so it is likely.

DAO now require all those who want to sit both SW Herts and DAO to sit the CEM paper on Saturday 3rd September at DAO.

No DAO candidate will be able to submit a CEM test result from the SW Herts sitting on Saturday 10th September.

This has been done to make sure that DAO candidates are not disdavantaged by the week between the two sittings of the same paper where the contents of the paper can be discussed.

SW Herts will now need to make arrangements for DAO candidates to sit just the GL Maths paper of the SW Herts Consortium.

We are waiting to hear if this will also take place on the 10th September but this would seem far too chaotic to have some students sitting just one paper while the vast majority take two.

Candidates wishing to sit both exams must tick the box to do so on the DAO registration form that opened yesterday. DG
