CEM and GL style papers
Can someone please explain this as I'm bit confused. SW Herts and Bucks have recently changed English papers to CEM (which is good for those appearing for SW herts too) but maths paper remains different ie GL and CEM. Anyone knows why and whats the key difference between CEM and GL ? Many thanks!
Re: CEM and GL style papers
Bucks is all CEM, no GL papers.

Re: CEM and GL style papers
SW Herts and DAO both moved from Moray House VR to CEM English VR last year. They have continued with this decision this year.
SW Herts have remained with GL for Maths and are offering one exam session with two different papers, English VR from CEM and Maths from GL.
CEM Maths is quite different, all short timed sections. DAO have also chosen to stay with their own standard format Maths and HBS also have their own Maths paper.
So we can conclude that some schools feel that the CEM short maths paper is perhaps not detailed enough to identify the strong maths candidates. DG
