In my experience (four children in two secondary schools), each school has their own approach to KS3 Science. WBGS mostly use a scheme of work that's similar to one from Pearson Education, whereas WGGS seem to have written their own.

The CGP revision guide for KS3 Science is a reasonable summary of the concepts covered.

Are you asking this again because your DD has exhausted the extra help the school (or Bitesize etc) was able to offer her last term when she took the general advice given by forum members who responded and investigated this?

Or because they did so well in helping her understanding that she wants to read ahead now in the subject?

Or was the school not willing to provide any extra help? Which would, of course, be rather a poor show on their part  .

The CGP KS3 Science book would probably still be your best bet (along with Bitesize) to have as background to help underpin her understanding, given that your DD is still only a short way into KS3.

As someone said last time you asked, at this stage, the exam board is irrelevant- for a start, the school could decide to change which board whey use by the time that your DD's year group starts it's catalogue GCSE course.

Yes, as Toadmum says, even the teachers don't know what GCSE exam board they will be using for the students who will be taking their GCSEs in 2021.
