Piano accompanist for music exam
Dd is going to need piano accompanist. Will there be an opportunity to practise with the pianist before the audition?

Re: Piano accompanist for music exam
yes, absolutely, you will be allocated a rehearsal room. DG
Re: Piano accompanist for music exam
Are you sure? You get a rehearsal room but I don't think that the accompanist will be with you. I thought it was one of the examiners who is the head of music at the boys school that does it. If I am right and this is the case he is a very experienced accompanist and a lovely man so will put the candidate at ease. Email the admissions secretary and check so you know for certain.

Thanks Hera and DG. I will email the admissions.
Re: Piano accompanist for music exam
Might be useful for next year music applicants: We were given a rehearsal room, but no chance to practice with the accompanist.

We haven't had ours yet!

I thought all auditions would have been done last week. Good luck to your DC.Hera wrote:We haven't had ours yet!
