My daughter will be in Year 5 this Sept.
I have been reading diffrent school websites for information but would appreciate your input. Please advise for South West Constorium do we have to move in the Borough this year or we can move once we know the result??
Thanks in advance

Some schools, for example, Parmiter’s, have a very small number of OOC places for which you do not have to move. In terms of transport, many pupils use the school bus service for which you have to pay. Having said that, if your area isn’t served by the school bus service then it can be a long journey by public transport, which won’t be much fun especially on cold winter days. The cut-off is usually very high for OOC pupils. Like all schools it likes its pupils to be involved in extra-curricular activities, so that will need to be another consideration. The websites should give you an indication of whether or not there is a need to move.

How easy will it be for your daughter to get to the Consortium schools? They’re all partially selective schools too, so if it’s results that are important to you you may well find a similar standard of school closer to you.

Parmiters and Rickmansworth offer only a couple of places each to OOC - thus requiring VERY high scores!

St Clement Dane has a 10% academic intake with no catchment requirement whatsoever.

But if you are looking to move to take advantage of the catchment requirements of Parmiters or the Grammars, read each school's policy VERY carefully regarding what is and isn't considered to be a valid move!

If you are prepared to move after you get your score HBS and Latymer would be a better bet where you do not have to get a higher score if you are non catchment for Latymer and there is no catchment for HBS

SW Herts non catchment places require a higher score as so many go for them. DG
