Hello all, hope you are keeping healthy and motivated in these strange times .
Those of you families who prepared/are preparing for the MAT and Music Test, which were your favourite resources to use? CDs? Websites ?
and do we know how clear do the sounds play on the day? TIA

Honestly, we just found a free website with some examples, realised very quickly that the only tricky sounds were the texture questions, and spent half an hour trying them on a piano so that he felt he had a reasonable chance at guessing right.
The only feedback I got from him was that it was clear enough to hear, but some people were coughing.

Thanks Sunny, and how sad for the candidates if someone else is coughing. I hope that you reported it formally to the Organisers:( Will be interesting to see what happens this year, when if you cough anywhere, you are asked to leave the premises pronto.
Also finding texture tricky,here.
I always wondered: Are the notes sounding like a “mechanical” tune or do they sound like a real musical instrument. Piano, clarinet ,whatever else? They sound mechanical on the app where we practice them.
