My ds will be appearing for Sw herts exam. In all his mocks he did well, usually 96 to 100% and same in practice papers.

He has given the Qe exam and got a maths score which was much below what we all expected. He felt the paper was ok but expected only 1 wrong, he finished on time so didn t rush through. Any tips or help at all please for his next exam. I m worried he s too easy going or over confident.

SW herts schools are our top choice.

You need to teach him to slow down and do inverse operations on his working out.

Many ds were tricked by the Maths paper at QE this year. I think it might have started with easier questions lulling them all into a false sense of confidence and then ramped up but they didn't notice as they had already decided it was easy. DG
