Hi,

Would love to hear from parents whose DC sat SWH exam on 17th and 18th Oct, 2020( Sat and Sunday).

If the tests were easy, that will make the cut off score of Sep 2021 admission relatively high ( compared to the cut off score of 214 for Parmiters for Sep 2020 admission )

Looking forward to your thoughts and insights?

Thanks in advance.

I don t think we should discuss it right now as there will be late sitters. I m sure someone who knows more can shed light on this and when we can discuss papers.

As long as the results are standardised for the cohort that took the tests, the cut-off score should not really be dependent on the level of difficulty.

On the other hand, factors such as parents reluctance to choose schools involving long journeys or commit to paying independent school fees in economically uncertain times may well have an impact on the cut-off score.

2-3 years ago, one of the Mods explained the concept of the pre-standardised test to me - in reply to one of my posts.
Can't remember if it was about SW Herts or Mill Hill.

There's certainly a possibility that the tests are pre-standardised.

Mill Hill County High School tests are almost certainly pre-standardised. I don't know about SW Herts.
