Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is well!

We need a little bit of guidance in relation to school preference list in Harrow council. Why am I asking this here, that is because top two schools in my list is from SWHerts :)

Our first priority as of now is Parmiter's with the marks that my kid has it will be a bit of a touch and go.
Our second priority is SCD, again with the marks my kid has, we are pretty confident that SCD will offer us a place.

Question / Guidance needed is do we keep Parmiter's as number one, and SCD as number two? Our only fear here is that SCD will not offer us a place, if we put them second in the priority list.

What we are hoping for is I keep, one Parmiter's, and two SCD
  • Parmiters offers us a place and we are done :)
  • Parmiters gives us a waiting list, SCD offers us a place
Or, is it wise to put SCD as one, just to keep things safe?

Thank you in advance for bearing with us and for the advise!

Have all the results been posted? Some of my son's school friends told him they hadn't received anything yet?

Always put the schools in your true order preference. If you put SCD 1st and qualify, you will definitely not get Parmiters. If you put Parmiters 1st and DC does not quilt, but gets the score for SCD, you will get SCD. You have nothing to gain by putting SCD 1st, if your preference is for Parmiters.

Put them in your true order of preference - if you DC doesn't qualify for their first prefernce their second becomes their first, and so on. The schools do not know which order you put them in. if you put Parmiters as second choice and your Dc qualifies for SCD you will not be offered a place at Parmiters even if your DC qualifies as the algorithm cannot know that actually your second preference was actually your first. I am assuming that our local authority is allowing changes aftre the results are received?
Cross posted with mad? but the same message, just more long winded from me :D

Thank you so much @scary mum and @mad?!! You guys have been a great help.

I have heard too many things from too many places, so just wanted to confirm. This has made me breathe easy!

You can hear it from your own council here as well -

Thank you @ToadMum!

Now I am feeling embarrassed! :D

I did read that at some point in the last year, and I was happy with the same. Although as I said I heard quite a few other things, us being from a different council makes it different and all. So just wanted to confirm. Thanks a ton again to all the members of the group, you have been great help!

Thank you so much Soumyadineshb for the information you gave very helpful.

Does anyone know the same information given by the Soumyadineshb for the other SWH, for Queens School and Watford Boys School lowest score for September.
